The 2024 "Strike a Spark" and "Celebration of Scholarship" events celebrating the research, scholarship, and creative pursuits of our students will take place on each of the PennWest campuses in April 2025. Dates and times of the events will be announced very soon.
A limited number of grants, up to $600 per grant, are available at each of the PennWest campuses. To be considered, students must follow the Funding Guidelines and submit a complete Funding Proposal Application by the deadline.
The deadline for the fall application cycle is September 20. Applicants will receive notification of funding by October 4. The deadline for the spring application cycle is December 4. Applicants will receive notification of funding by January 15.
Students planning to present at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR25) in Pittsburgh, April 7–9, have access to special funding this year. In addition to the standard $600 research grant, additional support of up to $600 is available specifically for costs associated with presenting at NCUR25. Abstract submissions for NCUR25 are due by December 6.
To apply for both the standard research grant and the NCUR25 presentation funding, students should submit two separate funding proposal applications.
